Recently Stocked Largemouth Bass Lakes in Minnesota
About this list
Every lake here has a largemouth bass stocking record from 2024 or later — the current year plus the 2 before it. Records are reported by year, not by date, and include stocking by state hatcheries as well as tribal bands, federal hatcheries, and local sporting groups. Each card shows the size class and number of largemouth bassfrom the lake's most recent stocking year.
This is a factual recency list, not a ranking, and there is no minimum lake size to qualify. For graded largemouth bass water, see the best largemouth bass lakes in Minnesota, or go back to all recently stocked lakes.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many Minnesota lakes have been stocked with largemouth bass since 2024?
32 Minnesota lakes have a largemouth bass stocking record from 2024 or later, all listed on this page by county. Records are reported by year and published after the fact, so a lake stocked this season may not appear until the state publishes it.
What counts as "recently stocked" with largemouth bass?
A lake is listed when its most recent largemouth bass stocking record falls in 2024 or later — the current year plus the 2 before it. The window slides forward every January, so a lake drops off once its last largemouth bass stocking passes 2 years old. There is no minimum lake size: small stocked ponds qualify.
Does stocking mean a lake is good for largemouth bass fishing?
Not on its own. A stocking record says how many fish went in, not how many survived or how the fishing is now. Size matters more than the count: yearlings can be caught the season they go in, while fingerlings and fry take years to reach a useful size. For graded largemouth bass lakes, see the FishGrade Largemouth Bass rankings, which are built from Minnesota DNR survey catch rates rather than stocking.
