The Northern Pike population (4.5/gill net) is about average for this area. However, the average size was considerably below the local average. Growth rates were normal, but the population consisted primarily of 2 and 3 year old fish, thus the small average size. The Black Bullhead population (33.8 /trap net) far exceeded the local average (4.5/trap net). The Bluegill population (2.8/trap net) was significantly less than the local average. Black Crappie (1.5/trap net) and Yellow Perch (2.5/gill net) numbers were also less than local averages. All species exhibited normal to slightly better than normal growth rates, but no fish over five years old were aged.
