There is a carry-in access on the north end of Long Lake, but there is no legal parking. Shore fishing is available on the north and south shores. Largemouth bass were sampled in good numbers, with lengths up to 20 inches, 70% over 12 inches and, 25% over 16 inches. Northern pike are also abundant - with fish up to 30 inches sampled, but an average length of 21.5 inches. Bluegill were sampled in moderate numbers, with lengths up to 9 inches, a 5.5 inch average and 40% over 6 inches. Black crappie are also present in moderate numbers, but are generally small, with none over 9 inches sampled. Yellow perch are abundant, with most fish between 5.5 and 7 inches. Pumkinseed and hybrid sunfish are present in low numbers. Black bullhead are abundant, and yellow bullhead are present in low numbers.

The northern pike catch was 2.5x the local median catch rate. They ranged from 19 to 30 inches in length. Ages III and V were represented and growth was fast. One walleye was captured, origin unknown. It was age IV and showed fast growth. Black crappie, bluegill, pumpkinseed, hybrid sunfish, black bullhead, and yellow perch were all caught in numbers much greater than their respective local median catch rates. Length frequency distributions for all showed typical small sizes. White sucker, yellow bullhead, and green sunfish were also sampled in low numbers.
