BLG WERE HIGH IN ABUNDANCE WITH BOTH GILLNET AND TRAPNET CATCHES ABOVE LOCAL LEVELS. THEY HAVE REMAINED VIRTUALLY UNCHANGED IN NETTING SINCE 1982. AVERAGE SIZE OF BLG WAS GOOD AND THE PSD VALUE WAS 32. BLG GROWTH WAS AVERAGE FOR LOCAL AREA. NOP CATCHES WERE NEAR LOCAL LEVELS WITH THREE YEAR CLASSES SAMPLED, AND HAVE REMAINED RELATIVELY STABLE COVER LAST 15 YEARS. NOP GROWTH WAS GOOD FOR LOCAL AREA. BLC WERE NEAR LOCAL LEVELS IN ABUNDANCE. PSD FOR BLC WAS 14. YEB AND CARP CATCHES WERE BELOW LOCAL MEDIAN ABUNDANCE. ONE LMB WAS SAMPLED AND DETERMINED TO BE AGE III. SHORELINE SEINING CONFIRMED YOY PRODUCTION OF LMB, BLG, BLC, AND YEP.

THE NORTHERN PIKE CATCH EQUALLED THE LOCAL MEDIAN CATCH RATE. BLUEGILLS AND BLACK CRAPPIE ARE ABUN- DANT. THE CATCHES OF BOTH WERE TWICE THEIR LOCAL MEDIAN CATCH RATES. MOST ARE SMALL BUT A FEW 7.5 BLUEGILLS AND 11 YELLOW BULLHEAD CATCH WAS 3 1/2 TIMES THE LMCR. OF THESE, 36% WERE GREATER THAN 12 OTHER SPECIES PRESENT ARE YELLOW PERCH LARGEMOUTH BASS, AND CARP. THE FISH POPULATION IS LITTLE CHANGED FROM THE 1982 SURVEY EXCEPT THAT CARP NUMBERS HAVE DECLINED, A POSSIBLE FACTOR TO THE IMPROVED WATER CLARITY MEASURED IN THIS ASSESSMENT
