Water levels within the reservoir are sometimes affected by a one to two foot daily fluctuation. The test net catch of bluegills was affected by a stocking of 4,049 bluegills just prior to the survey. The levee area of central reservoir provides some fair crappie fishing during the spring. Fair numbers of nice sized crappies and largemouth bass were sampled by electrofishing in the river channel just above the reservoir.
